In the summer of 1986 the Presbytery of Nevada organized a task force to begin the process of establishing a new Presbyterian congregation in Reno, Nevada. Rev. Don Frank was our organizing pastor and faithfully led us through the chartering of Covenant Presbyterian Church, the building of our church facility in northwest Reno, and the development of our ministries until his retirement in 1996. It was during Dr. Frank's ministry that Covenant pledged to be a Christ centered congregation.
In 1998 we called Rev. James E. Hull to be our pastor. Pastor Jay has patiently guided our congregation as we seek to be truly Christ centered.
Our Session worked together under Pastor Jay's leadership to affirm and develop Mission, Focus, and Vision Statements that reflect our goal of proclaiming, teaching, learning, and living the Word of God, so that we and all those whom God brings our way have that desire to seek the Lord Jesus Christ.
